We make freshly fried, lightly spiced potato cakes (tikkis) which are sold by street food (chaat) stalls from Varanasi to Varkala. We serve ours with a comforting chickpea curry (chana chole) or in a floury bap with spiced fries for a Mumbai style burger and chips.
Tikkis are delicious on their own but what really makes them sing is the sweet tamarind chutney, cooling mint sauce and subtly spiced yoghurt that accompanies them. Topped off with pomegranate seeds, chopped onion and sev (small crunchy noodles), this is a vegetarian meal that delivers textures and flavours by the bucketful.
We take our sweet time to make our tikkis. We only use quality ingredients and we do not cut corners in preparation or cooking. It's not a big menu, but what we do sell is honed to perfection.
